I used this book in 1983 and again in 1987. Both times I was sure that it wouldn't work, but it did! Back then it was difficult to find a drinking and wetting doll. Both children were totally trained in four hours. The first girl totally bought into the idea. The second girl was a total freak the entire time - screaming, crying, you name it. after four hours I put her down for a nap thinking I had totally failed. She awoke from that nap totally trained. Now I have a grandchild on the way so I bought the book again in the kindle version just to refresh my memory. I dreaded potty training - this was so easy. Just four hours of one on one and a lot of patience. Read the book and just do what it says.Product details

My grandson wasn't really into the idea and the book didn't really help, not user friendly for me and my 2 yr old
This book was not useful for our family. Maybe this worked well at the time because they were twins feeding off of each other, but for a single child these methods just did not work.
While I have twins also, this book was more of an essay style instead of step by step training instruction. It was a fun read, but more of a perspective read than instructional. I bought this because I was doubting "Training in the 3 days" method, however it clicked by 5 with my toddlers.
While this book may be helpful for some...our son still prefers to use his pull-up and not go to the potty. He uses the potty when he is in the mood. Perhaps this book would have been more helpful if we had tried this method first and not waited until we were already trying to potty train our little guy.
